At IHPME’s 2019 Faculty Retreat, four faculty members received the Eugenie Stuart Awards acknowledging their commitment and outstanding mentorship to students at the Institute. Nominated by students, and selected after peer review by the IHPME Award’s Committee, the Eugenie Stuart Awards recognize four criteria of excellence in teaching, course program development and coordination, thesis supervision, and preceptor tutoring.
Eugenie Stuart was integral to the advancement of the Diploma in Health Administration and continued to be a force of leadership until her retirement in 1971. Her exceptionally well-organized courses and teaching methods were instrumental in obtaining accreditation for IHPME (then the Department of Hospital Administration) courses.
Join us in congratulating our four winners:
Karen Born – Outstanding Mentor
Colin Furness – Best Instructor
Tyrone A. Perreira – Best Course Preparation
Therese Stukel – Best Thesis Supervisor
