About Us

Bright Leaders.
Many Steps. Big Change.

The Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) is best described as a community made whole by its many moving parts–––students, faculty, alumni, healthcare researchers and a variety of providers, partners and professionals in the field.  With over 400 students, 300 faculty and more than 100 senior healthcare executives in adjunct roles, IHPME is a wellspring of opportunity, learning and innovation.

We serve as an enabling force; offering a harmonizing forum to foster collaboration and leadership within and between healthcare communities.

The Approach

We inform a rare cross-pollination of contemporary knowledge by drawing students and leaders from the full healthcare continuum into dynamic relationships.

Our faculty represent the full continuum of healthcare disciplines and invariably facilitate the cross-pollination of diverse perspectives. We live and learn surrounded by the country’s most established healthcare institutions–––a position which we leverage by building lasting and collaborative relationships between academics and healthcare decision-makers.

The Goal

Our cultural valuation of intellectual exchange teaches people to think responsively as they engage in the healthcare ecosystem.

IHPME is committed to making the human connection in healthcare through bridging gaps between clinical, organizational and policy levels. And in this way, we are cultivating the next generation of bright leaders.

The Result

We empower individuals to translate experience to evidence in building best practices and better outcomes throughout healthcare delivery.

Each year IHPME is responsible for more than $6M in research funding making it one of the more significant contributors in the fields of system design, performance management, comparative health systems, health policy and health economics, health services research, quality improvement, patient safety, observational and decision sciences research, and knowledge transfer.
