Research Interests

I’m interested in models of care integration for people with complex medical, social and psychological needs. Given the lack of evidence-based practices in this area, I’m interested in the application of methods from the design and software industries to develop user-centered services and manage uncertainty around key elements of care models and their effectiveness. I’m also interested in innovative health service delivery models from low and middle-income countries and their potential applicability to high-income settings to improve access and reduce costs. As a primary care provider, I’m interested in optimizing primary care practice, and coordinating effectively across the continuum through new models of practice, digital tools and shared accountability. My background is in implementation science, and I am currently studying how these methods complement quality improvement, design thinking and lean startup to solve complex problems in health service delivery.
